Old Somalamma Jathara from Mar 20-24 : సోమాలమ్మ ఉత్సవాలు

Yearly Jathama Utsavas of Patha Somalamma (Old Somalamma) Temple, Syamala Nagar are to be held from 20 to 24 March 2024. Huge Arrangements are being done on the occasion as Goddess Somalamma is said to be the Nagara Devatha (Goddess of Rajahmundry). Thousand of people are expected to visit Old Somalamma Temple Daily during the Festival. Lighting and Painting Activities are going on across the Street.

Panchamruthabhishekam, Visesha Alankarana will be done on 20 March, Ekadasi at 4 AM. Later at 10,08 AM Kalasa Sthapana, 10. 30AM – Ganapathi homam and 6PM – Venkateswara Ganamrutham and Lalitha Sahasra Parayana will took place..

20 March:

4 AM – అమ్మవారి మూలవిరాట్కు పంచామృతాభిషేకం, విశేష అలంక

10.08 AM – కలశ స్థాపన

10.30 AM – గణపతి హోమం

6 PM – వేంకటేశ్వర గానామృతం, లలితా సహస్రనామ పారాయణ

21 March:

8.30 AM – లక్ష పుష్పార్చన

7 AM – అమ్మవారి పల్లకీ సేవ, ఊయల ఉత్సవం, కోలాటం, సాయిబాబా భజన

22 March:

7 AM – చండీ హోమం

6 PM – సహస్ర జ్యోతిర్లింగార్చన, కూచిపూడి, భరతనాట్య ప్రదర్శనలు

23 March:

8 AM – సౌభాగ్య వ్రతం

6 PM – సంగీతం, నృత్య ప్రదర్శన,

24 March:

4 AM – పంచామృతాభిషేకం

4 PM – మేళతాశాలు, గరగ నృత్యాలు, బాణసంచాతో అమ్మవారి జాతర ఊరేగింపు

ఉత్సవ దినాలలో ప్రతీరోజు ఉదయం 8 గంటల నుంచి మధ్యాహ్నం 12 గంటల వరకు, సాయంత్రం 5 నుంచి రాత్రి 8 గంటల వరకు అమ్మవారికి కుంకుమ పూజలు జరుగుతాయని ఆలయ కమిటీ సభ్యులు తెలిపారు.
