Rajamahendravaram: M Francis, Assistant Director, State Information Centre, Rajamahendravaram, has taken over as Deputy Director, Information Department, East Godavari district, on Saturday.
The State government has issued a GO (2659) on Friday to this effect, promoting Francis as DD and posted him in East Godavari District.
Earlier, the post of District Public Relations Officer was upgraded to the Deputy Director level by the Government which had been lying vacant for the last two years.

Subsequent to Francis holding new office, the I&PR wing in the district will be headed by the Deputy Director rather than by DPRO.
Francis had been holding additional charge of DPRO for the last two and half years.
The staff and officers of I&PR Dept complimented Francis on account of his assuming new responsibilities as DD on Saturday.
