TDP turned the State into Afghanistan, fumes YSRCP

Rajamahendravaram:

People will bury the TDP government which is transforming the State into Afghanistan by trampling on freedom of expression, said YSRCP Chandragiri legislator Chievireddy Bhaskar Reddy here on Sunday.

He came down heavily on the TDP government for “insulting’ women’s people’s representatives from Andhra Pradesh while inviting the women representatives from all over the country to the National Women Parliament. Describing Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu a “dictator”, he wondered in which direction the State was going.

Speaking to reporters here, Bhaskar Reddy faulted the government for treating MLA R K Roja, who came to attend the conference on invitation, as a terrorist. “It is undemocratic to treat an elected woman representative like this.

People of the State are watching everything. Youth are gearing up for a movement against the misrule of Naidu and the women are angry over the cheating by the government. This anger will transform into revolution and the government will have to pay for its repression,” he said.

The YSRCP leader said the party would take the issue of Roja to Human Rights Commission and also move the court. He warned that the YSRCP will agitate against the State government  ruling the State with officials and police department.

Former MLC Kandula Durgesh, former MLA Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao, party rural coordinator Akula Veerraju, YSRCP State youth wing president Jakkampudi Raja and floor leader in municipal corporation Medapati Sharmila Reddy were present at the press meet.
