Shankar’s ‘Indian 2’ team heads to Bhopal

A sequel to the blockbuster vigilante thriller of the same name, ‘Indian 2’has Kamal Haasan returning as the freedom fighter Senapathy. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film has Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Vidyut Jamwal, Delhi Ganesh, and Nedumudi Venu in pivotal characters. While the shooting has been progressing slowly, the team is all set to shoot a grand action episode next in Bhopal. The team has earlier shot in Chennai and Rajahmundry.
Reports are that over 2000 junior artists would be part of the this massive action sequence that will be shot in the upcoming days. After this 20 day schedule, the team is expected to head to Taiwan and Europe to shoot the flashback portion of Kamal Haasan, who was last seen to be in a foreign country at the end of the first part of the film.
Stunt master Peter Hein has revealed that Kamal Haasan plays the role of a 90-year-old veteran freedom fighter in Indian 2, following the mannerisms of a nonagenarian. It’s a well-known fact that Kamal Haasan and Shankar are reuniting after two decades for the upcoming political film ‘Indian 2’, which was formally announced last year. While Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for the film, Ravi Varma will be handling the camera.
Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead and also undergone training in Kalaripayattu, an Indian martial art and the movie also stars veteran actor Delhi Ganesh and Vidyut Jammwal. Interestingly, actor Vivekh has also been roped in to play an important role in the film and it be the first time he is part of a Kamal Haasan film.
