A couple from Annapurnammapeta in Rajamahendravaram allegedly committed suicide on Thursday, reportedly owing to heavy debts.
The deceased were identified as K. Balaji (25) and K. Ganga (23).
The couple have an eight-month-old daughter.
Huge losses
Balaji was into cloth business in Danavaipeta area and he reportedly incurred huge losses and ran into debts amounting to about ₹15 lakh.
Unable to repay the debts, the couple allegedly decided to commit suicide, the police said.
The bodies were sent to the government hospital for post-mortem.
Another couple end life
In another incident, a couple allegedly committed suicide following differences of opinion, at Kanuru Rajupalem village in Pellakur mandal limits in Nellore district on Wednesday evening.
They were identified as Guvva Gopi, 42, and Surekha, 27. Surekha allegedly consumed poison after Gopi had left for work in the agricultural fields.
On his return, Gopi found his wife in an unconscious state and tried to get medical help.
As Surekha died eventually, Gopi returned to his village and allegedly hanged himself from a tree in the fields.
The couple have three children.
