Kakinada: Eamcet-2019 examination was held on the first day on Saturday in a peaceful manner and 50,406 students out of 53,702 students attended the examination, 93.86 per cent, for both morning and Afternoon sessions. A student was booked for using mobile phone during the examination.
Eamcet convener Saibabu said that though the students were thoroughly checked before entering the examination centre, a student brought the mobile phone to the examination hall. The invigilator booked him for malpractice and mobile was seized.
Meanwhile, the forenoon session was completed at 1.30 pm with a maximum delay of 30 minutes at GMRT in Rajam and in VITAM of Visakhapatnam, there was a delay of 17 minutes due to UPS tripping.
Saibabu said that in both the cases, time was extended to compensate the loss. He said that rest of the examination went on smoothly.
According to sources, in the morning session, 24,669 students out of 26,335 attended and 1,666 students missed the exam, by registering 93.67 per cent attendance.
In the afternoon session, 1630 students missed the exam, registering 94.04 per cent attendance. Highest number of students attended in Tadepalligudem (98.45 per cent), Eluru (97.35 per cent) in West Godavari and Rajahmundry (97.6 per cent) attended and Nacharam in Hyderabad registered lowest attendance of 87.69 per cent.
Earlier, APSCHE chairman S. Vijaya Raju released the set codes. Vijaya Raju said that as the examination are being conducted online, the results can be released quickly and also transparently. He said that 2,82,638 students are appearing for AP Eamcet -2019 for five days.
