Rajahmundry: Central Prison superintendent S Raja Rao has said that as many as 27 prisoners were affiliated with AIDS.
Of them, 19 prisoners are having AIDS at the time of admission, which was on record.
For the remaining eight prisoners, it was identified that they were having AIDS in medical check up at government hospital. A detailed report will be submitted to the High Court in this regard on Friday. There is no scope for getting AIDS in the prison, he averred.
