Rajamahendravaram: Buzzing activity took place in the city here on Sunday in connection with Vinayaka Chaturdhi festival scheduled to be held on Monday. Devi Chowk, Ganesh Chowk, Ramalayam junction, Kotipalli bus station centre, Pushkar Ghat, stadium road, Alcot Gardens, Jawaharlal Nehru road, Sambhu Nagar, main road etc were crowded with the people who are purchasing flowers, fruits, patri, etc, for conducting the Vinayaka Pooja.
Traffic was stalled at Kambala tank due to heavy rush and the police regulated traffic on Godavari bund.About 200 Ganesh pandals were erected this year in the city and municipal corporation. The traffic police were jointly monitoring the pandals.
