Rajamahendravaram: The 15th anniversary of Health, Education, AIDS Awareness and Literacy Society (HEELS) was celebrated at the Rajahmahendravaram Municipal Corporation’s community hall here on Sunday.
Rural and Urban MLAs Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary and Adireddy Bhavani inaugurated the programme. A free medical camp was held and financial assistance was extended to some of the poor students. MLAs Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary and Adireddy Bhavani underlined the need of the NGOs’ service to the people along with the government.
They congratulated HEELS president Dr Krishna Rao and other members for running the organisation successfully. GSL Medical College chairman Dr Ganni Bhaskar Rao, Tummidi Charitable Trust chairman Tummidi Ram Kumar and HEELS members were present. GSL Medical College doctors examined the patients in the medical camp.
