But one father from Andhra went to a new extreme of enthusiasm while selecting gifts for his newlywed daughter during  Ashadha Masam, the holy month in Telugu tradition.

According to an India Today report, the daughter received huge quantities of fish, sweets, and vegetables from her father.

Ashadha Masam happens to be an important month for newlyweds. The new bride, as per traditions of the month, receives gifts from her parents.

Battula Balarama Krishna, a prominent businessman from Rajahmundry, spared no expenses in making this year’s Ashadha Masam a memorable one for his daughter.
