Jagananna Prana Vayuvu Rathachakralu: Publicity At Peaks!

With oxygen becoming an important element in the treatment of Covid-19 patients during the second wave, YCP MP and government chief whip Margani Bharat Ram inaugurated Jagananna Pranavayuvu Rathachakralu facility at the government hospital in Rajahmundry.

The MP said that the first of its kind facility would be extended to the entire state if the trial run proved successful.

The ‘oxygen on wheels’ facility has been created by redesigning two RTC Vennela buses from the Rajahmundry garage. Two 36-seater buses have been made into 6 ICU cabins each so as to provide the life-saving gas to those patients requiring it.

The opposition parties found fault with the YCP leaders for naming the facility after their party president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. At a time, when oxygen is being considered a crucial component in the treatment, it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that there is a smooth supply of the gas to all the health facilities providing treatment to Covid-19 patients, the opposition leaders said.

All the states in India have been criticising the Union government for centralising the supply of oxygen and vaccine but failing to disburse them in adequate amount which has been leading to a surge in Covid cases and deaths.

Just as it is the responsibility of the central government to provide the necessary elements for the treatment of the patients, it is also the duty of the states to save the life of people, they said and felt that there was no need to keep bragging about it.

The opposition leaders are wondering if the YCP leaders are not able to understand the difference between various welfare schemes and life-saving measures taken up during a pandemic.  Public health should always remain the priority of the government and naming the measures taken to achieve this endeavour is ridiculous, they said.
