Hotels come up with quarantine meal plans

Visakhapatnam: A number of hotels across the state have come up with a quarantine meal plan for Covid-19 positive patients and persons in isolation.
The initiative takes off from the pay-per-use quarantine rooms that hotels in both Telugu states had offered last year. In Vizag city, hotels have started the doorstep delivery of quarantine meals. For a minimum value order, hotels serving quarantine meals are making deliveries within a five-kilometre radius. A distance fee is charged beyond five kilometres.
With cases on the upswing, hotels in Vijayawada, Tirupati, Rajahmundry and other cities are now following suit. “The price of a seven-day package would be between Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,500 and Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 for 14 days for vegetarians. It would be Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 extra for non-vegetarians,” said a hotel manager. — Siva G
