Reshuffle in forest administration: Nearly 30 IFS officers transferred

Amaravati: In a major reshuffle, the state government on Sunday transferred around 30 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers. Two senior officers, considered next in line to forest forces chief Prateep Kumar, have been assigned new posts.
VB Ramana Murthy, a 1987-batch officer and principal conservator of forests (FR) has been shifted as PCCF, coastal management zone. Similarly, principal chief conservator of forests (wildlife), D Nalini Mohan has been shifted to the post of member secretary in the biodiversity board.
Sanjay Gupta, who was waiting posting, has been made the principal conservator of forests (working plan), considered the number two post at Aranya Bhavan.
BK Singh, a 1990-batch IFS officer, will join the Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation (APFDC) as vice-chairman and managing director relieving PCCF Prateep Kumar from the additional charge.
All senior officers working in Visakhapatnam, including the chief conservator, the DFO and the zoo curator, have been shifted to other places. Rahul Pandey, the chief conservator of forests in Visakhapatnam has been given the important charge of chief conservator of wildlife.
Dr Santhi Priya Pandey has been made the chief conservator of forest (administration) in the PCCF office. K Rammohan Rao will be the new conservator of forests in Visakhapatnam. Social forests conservator in Visakhapatnam, T Jyothi has been shifted as regional manager of APFDC, Rajahmundry.
R Yashoda Bai, curator at Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP), Visakhapatnam has been posted as the district forest officer (DFO) in Eluru. C Selvam, DFO of Visakhapatnam has been given the charge of deputy conservator of forests (WL), Eluru.
Chief conservator of forests (vigilance), M Revathi, has been posted as chief general manager of APFDC. Kakinada DFO Dr Nandini Salaria will be the new curator of IGZP, Vizag.
Rajahmundry wildlife DFO, Anantha Shankar, has been posted as DFO Kakinada. Nellore conservator Y Srinivas Reddy has been made the field director of the tiger project in Srisailam.
Tirupati zoo curator, M Babita, has been posted as DFO (wildlife) in Markapur. S Venkatesh, Atmakur, DFO (wildlife) has been transferred as DFO Nandyal. Eluru conservator of forests, P Ramakrishna, has been given the post of Kurnool conservator. Kadapa DFO M Sivaprasad will move to Guntur as DFO.
