Cop injured in a deadly sword attack by the youth in Rajahmundry

In a most horrifying incident, a young guy attacked a Special Branch constable, which caused a stir in Rajahmundry in the East Godavari district. Nageshwara Rao, who served as the Special Branch Head Constable at Sithanagaram and Korukonda Police Station, was riding a motorcycle on Thursday.

While the head constable took photos of the motorcycle number of the youths on the cellphone and the motorcyclist clashed with him (police). Without stopping, the youths attacked the constable and created ruckus on the roads with swords. The locals were terrified of the incident.

The constable then informed the police about the attack. The young man was taken into custody by Three town police. The rest of the young men were in absconding. SI Durga Prasad said all those who are absconded would be arrested soon. The injured constable is taken to the hospital.
