Religious fervour marks Nagula Chavithi in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Nagula Chavithi was celebrated with religious fervour here on Thursday. The devotees took a holy dip in River Godavari and visited snake pits. They offered milk to snakes and later gave harathi and distributed Chimmili as prasadam.

Meanwhile, many devotees run here and there to find out snake pits to offer prayers. Crowds were seen at Lalahervu road, government college premises and many coconut orchards, Nagara Vanam.
