Veteran comedy actor Vivek will be seen playing a CBI officer in Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s magnum opus Indian 2. In the first part, Nedumudi Venu played the investigating officer and in the sequel, Vivek essays the part. In Vellai Pookal, Vivek played a serious cop and got critical acclaim for his performance.
Produced by Lyca, the shoot of Indian 2 is currently progressing in Rajahmundry. The film also boasts an ensemble of actors including Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Vidyut Jamwal and Delhi Ganesh.
While Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar have already started shooting for the film, Kajal is expected to join the sets in November. Rathnavelu cranks the camera for Indian 2 and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music.
The film is scheduled to release on Pongal 2021.
