HYDERABAD: A truck went amok and dashed into four cars, a bike and an electricity pole after the driver lost control over the vehicle due to over speeding in front of Ramoji film city main gate in the wee hours of Thursday.
The truck, carrying ready-made clothes, was on its way to Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh from Hyderabad.
“The 21-year-old driver has been taken into custody, while the vehicle owner is getting verified all his relevant documents. The driver was over speeding and lost control over the vehicle. The incident occurred at around 4 am on Thursday,” said a police officer from Abdullapurmet police station.
The vehicle first went on to hit four cars, a bike, a small pan shop and then dashed into an electricity pole before halting.
According to police, the driver sustained minor injuries due to the incident. Following this, a case was registered under section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) of IPC.
