Rajahmundry: Telugu Desam national general secretary and former minister N. Lokesh demanded the state government to pay relief to the tune of Rs 10,000 per acre to the farmers who suffered crop damage or loss in the incessant rainfall in Godavari districts.
The minister visited several flood hit areas in parts of Achanta, Palacole and Narasapuram mandals in West Godavari on Wednesday and interacted with the affected farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, he turned critical on YSR Congress regime for failing to come to the rescue of farmers who suffered crop damage or loss and the fishermen who did not venture into the sea for fishing. He demanded the state government to provide relief to the affected farmers, fishermen and the people and vowed to continue his fight until they were provided with relief.
