BJP will emerge stronger inA.P., says Ram Madhav

Exuding confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party would grow stronger in Andhra Pradesh in the next five years, party’s national general secretary V. Ram Madhav on Sunday said that people were not giving credence to the “false campaign” launched by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu that the Centre rendered injustice to the State.

“Our leaders are able take the message to the grassroots that the Centre allocated adequate funds to the State and accorded top priority with regard to the implementation of welfare schemes. This will help us strengthen our base here in the next five years and emerge as an alternative political force by the 2024 general elections,” Mr. Ram Madhav said while addressing a press conference on the sidelines of a party workers’ meet at Rajamahendravaram.

‘EC playing fair’

Wondering why Mr. Naidu launched a campaign against the Election Commission and the EVMs, he said that the EC was an independent body and it was not being controlled by the government.

“The ban on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi from participating in election campaign for two days is a classic example of EC’s even-handed approach,” he said, adding that Mr. Naidu might be fearing defeat in the elections.

Referring to the Lok Sabha elections, he said that the BJP would be voted to power again with a simple majority as the electors were in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The good work done by the government in the last five years will help the party retain power at the Centre,” he said.
