Everyone’s favourite character ‘Bangarraju’ is apparently returning to the silver screen. The talks are on for a reported sequel to ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’. The film earned $750 million in long run at the box-office, putting it in one of the top highest-grossing movies of 2016, and making it the most commercially successful family films ever.
Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna is reportedly in talks with the director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala for a sequel about the friendly Bangarraju from Sivapuram, Rajahmundry. Kalyan apparently gave Nag a script with different plot altogether but in the same zone. If the reports are anything to go by, the movie will start rolling soon. The movie will be bankrolled by Nagarjuna under his home banner Annapurna Studios.
‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, a supernatural family entertainer written and directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, had Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishnan, and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles. Anup Rubens had composed tunes for ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ and PS Vinod had cranked the camera with Prawin Pudi editing it.
