Sesharai waterfalls to be made a major tourist attraction

Sesharai waterfalls in Y. Ramavaram mandal of East Godavari agency area is going to be made as major tourist attraction, said Collector Karthikeya Mishra.

On the eve of completing one year in the office in the district, he trekked the hillock along with Rampachodavaram Sub-collector V. Vinod Kumar.

The Collector declared that the main connecting road between Y. Ramavaram and Gurthedu via Matam Bheemavaram would be developed with the funds allocated to tackle left wing extremism. The road would help people reach the mandal headquarters by travelling only 30 km, instead 150 km now, from Gurthedu.

Only 20 Kondareddy families are living on this hillock and no Collector had trekked to this village in the past.

Mr. Mishra said that they were going to give two jeeps to tribal youth through Tourism department and implement the Chandranna Bima to all the 60 Kondareddies in the village.

Panchayat buildings

He announced that two panchayat buildings were sanctioned to Y. Ramavaram and Yarlagadda under the NREGS. He conceded the request to link their ration cards to the nearest DR (domestic requirement) depots in the mandal. He distributed two tabs to Kalyanamitras in the village.

Earlier, tribal people accorded him a customary welcome.

Rajamahendravaram Municipal Commissioner V. Vijayarama Raju also accompanied the Collector.
