One-day training programme was conducted on Saturday at the A.P. State Forest Academy (APSFA) to data entry operators who are working in forest offices in Rajamahendravaram Range comprising six districts on tiger census.
Ashok, a trainer from Wildlife Institute of India, gave training to them.
Addressing the operators, APSFA Joint Director Y.S. Naidu, faculty member P. Udayasankar and wildlife scientist Balaji said that tiger census will be done once in four years and after 2014 the Central government has taken up the programme this year in all the States.
‘Vanasamrakshini’ magazine was also released during the session.
