Visakhapatnam: Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) will offer fee exemption to candidates from the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes community (SC/ST) for enrolling themselves for various courses.
The SC/ST candidates who wish to avail themselves of fee exemption should submit admission forms at Ignou regional centre, Visakhapatnam, or its study centres located in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalle, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Tuni, Amalapuram, Rajam, Vizianagaram and Dr BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam.
Visakhapatnam regional centre director S Raja Rao said that all Ignou programmes of certificate, diploma, degree and research courses are available with total fee exemption and fee reimbursement for SC/ST candidates who seek admissions in the January 2018 session.
The candidates who wish to submit offline admission forms need not pay any programme fee.
Those who are submitting online applications can avail themselves of fee reimbursement for January 2018 session. They are required to pay the fee online as per the current university norms and their fee will be reimbursed by Ignou after completion of the admission process.
The last date for admission is January 31.
Meanwhile, Ignou has entered into an agreement with common service centres/MeeSeva centres for providing online admission services.
