Mudragada asks CM to own responsibility for boat tragedy

Kakinada, Nov 14 (UNI) Kapu Nadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham today asked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to own the total responsibility for the death of 21 pilgrims in Vijayawada boat tragedy.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, a copy of which was released to media here today, he blamed Mr Naidu for the death of 30 pilgrims in stampede at Rajahmundry during Godavari Pushkarams and also for the present boat tragedy that claimed 21 lives .

He also questioned the police as to why they failed to file cases against the Chief Minister being the head of the government for his failure in ensuring the safety of the tourists that sailed in Krishna river in motorized boats which did not have permission and even the life saving safety jackets.
In this context Mudragada has recalled how severe restrictions were imposed on him for taking up Padayatra in support of Kapu reservations and asked Mr Naidu to own the responsibility for any untoward incidents or damages to the public or private property if taken place.

`Is it not applying double standards? In fairness same rules should be equally applicable to the Chief Minister.</span>
