Inter-state criminal gang nabbed: Rs.20 lakh property seized

Kakinada Central Crime Wing police have successfully nabbed a three member inter-state criminal gang and recovered from them stolen property including 500 grams of gold ornaments, 9.5 kgs of silver articles, two motorcycles and one LED TV- all worth over Rs.20 lakhs.

The three property offenders were identified as Shaik Aziz(30) from Kajuluru and Shaik Basha(45) from Rajahmundry (East Godavari ) while the third as Chikatla Satish(26) native of Kondagudem , West Godavari district. All of them are ex-convicts. While Aziz and Satish are involved in twelve cases each, Shaik Basha in three cases. East Godavari Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni while appreciating the team led by DSP Pallapuraju, SIs Ramarao and Harish kumar for their exemplary work in crime detection said that it was one of the `good catch’ in property offences.

He said the modus operandi adopted by the three accused was choosing houses kept under lock during day time and commit thefts in the nights. The accused were being sent to judicial remand, he added.UNI XC/DP CS 1932
