NTR portrait to outshine that of YSR in AP assembly

After installing the statue of NTR in Parliament, there is a move to install a portrait of NTR in the AP assembly also.

The TDP plans to install a life size portrait of party founder N T Rama Rao in the AP assembly lounge as they find the portrait of former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Assembly lounge as an eye sore for all TDP MLAs and Ministers.

They were annoyed with the portrait which had been installed after the helicopter crash death of YSR as a tribute to his contributions to the state. The AP Government is now making plans to set up a life-size portrait of TDP Founder and Telugus’ Pride late NT Rama Rao beside YSR’s photo in the Assembly lounge. It will outshine the YSR photo, said a senior TDP MLA.

Post bifurcation, AP Assembly has been divided into two parts and the lounge with YSR Photo has been allotted to AP. This development has not gone well with TDP Lawmakers and hence the above agenda. But one has to see if the Telengana state will allow any more changes as the entire complex is under their care. Also whether the YSRC will also take any objections to the NTR statue side by side too remains to be seen.

The TDP and AP government are planning to install the life size portrait by the spring or winter session of the Assembly session. The party has already chosen a painter from Rajahmundry to do the oil paint of 8×4 feet length.
