Kakinada: The State BJP Kisan Morcha on Wednesday expressed concern over non-availability of quality fertilisers and pesticides in the State. Morcha State general secretary Y Malakondayya alleged that there was dearth of quality fertilisers and pesticides and the the government had failed to tackle the problem.The issue was brought to the notice of district administration in all the13 districts in the State by submitting memoranda to authorities.
Speaking to press persons here, he urged State government to tackle the problem and save the farming community from incurring heavy losses. The Morcha leader found fault with the State government for meagre allocation of funds for Polavaram project. The State government had failed to present a comprehensive report to the Centre, he said. He said the NDA government had allocated Rs 22,000 crore funds to the State.
