AP CM Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that while Congress Govt grounded irrigation projects for commissions and kick backs, the TDP had launched projects for welfare of the people.
Laying foundation for the Rs.1300 crore Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project, the AP CM said that even now some vested interests were placing hurdles in the development and irrigation projects in the state.
Chandrababu said that the linking of Godavari with Krishna River helped transform the entire state into a drought free and green state with farmers raising three crops a year with all year round irrigation facility for all lands. He said Marine University will be set up in the West Godavari district and in spite of diversion of Godavari waters there will be no injustice to farmers of Godavari district.
