Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation organised a rally from the Kotipalli Bus Station to Pushkar Ghat through the main road in connection with World Town Planning Day here on Friday.
Participating in the rally, corporation commissioner Abhishkit Kishore has said that the people should construct their building after obtaining valid permissions from the Town Planning Department.
Moreover, at the time of construction of buildings, the respective builders should also arrange pits to save the groundwater reserve and also arrange solar lighting systems. Unfortunately, the water table was falling drastically and we should take corrective measures, he added.
Town Planning Department was setup in the year 1949 to bring all builders under one roof for so that constructions of buildings could take place uniformly.
Corporation City Planner Vara Prasad Rao, Town Planning Department Regional Joint Director YP Ranganayakulu, assistant director Madhu, assistant city planners SN Raju, Varahala Babu, members of CREDAI were present on the occasion.
