IAS aspirant dies after falling off second floor of building in Chennai

Chennai: An IAS aspirant who fell from the second floor a building at Thirumangalam here, passed away without responding to medical treatment.

According to police, on 30 August, Ravi Panindra (22), a native of Andhra Pradesh, was talking over the phone while he was on the second floor of the building when he slipped and fell.

Ravi joined an IAS academy at Anna Nagar in June and was living in an apartment at Fourth Avenue, Shanthi Colony.

He fell from an under construction building, which is next to the building he lived. Sources said, Ravi went there to talk over the phone, and he accidentally slipped and fell from 50 feet height.

He injured his spinal cord and also suffered grievous injuries to his head, arms and legs. He was rushed to Government Kilpauk Hospital and later taken to his native place in Rajamundry, where he passed away Wednesday.

A Sub-Inspector of police from Thirumangalam station went to Rajahmundry and assisted in the post-mortem procedures.
