Rajamahendravaram: Many women performed special pujas to Goddess Vara Lakshmi and the priests also performed abishekams and pujas in the temples in connection with the auspicious Vara Lakshmi Vratam here on Friday.
Thousands of devotees thronged Maha Lakshmi temple, Asta Lakshmi temple, Devi Chowk, Syamalamba temple, Venkateswara Swamy temples and waited in serpentine queues to have darshan. Police made arrangements at the temples to maintain queues.
