Call to protect environment: MLA Jakkampudi Raja

Rajamahendravaram: Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja has said that everyone in society should put their efforts to protect environment which is very important to lead a pollution-free life.

Planting a sapling at Gowthami Ghat here on Sunday, he said the government is taking steps to protect environment in various ways and the people’s participation is important in this regard.

He underlined the need to organise awareness programmes on the protection of environment. Elite of the city T Subba Rao, CH Shakar Rao and others were present.
