Rajamahendravaram: Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, V Sumit Kumar underlined the need to encourage handicrafts products for the livelihood of various sections of people depending on them. Inaugurating Lepakshi Handicrafts Expo at TTD Kalyana Mandapam here on Saturday, Sumit Kumar said it will be beneficial to the artisans if the people purchaseHandicrafts products.
Handicraft products stand first in quality and the artisans are making a variety of products and though they are a bit costly, we cannot compare its quality with other products, he said. Lepakshi Manager Sirajuddin said the exhibition continues up to June 11 and urged the people to visit the expo and purchase a variety of products including clothes.
