Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to interact with varsity students

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will interact with around 10,000 students, as he is set to visit all State universities in the next three months. In this regard, the Chief Minister held a meeting with all vice-chancellors of State universities and officials of the Education Department on Thursday. They were instructed to take necessary measures for holding the event.

According to the schedule, the CM will visit Dr. BR Ambedkar University in Srikakulam on July 18, JNTUK University College of Engineering, Vizianagaram on August 2, Andhra University on August 17, Dr. YSR Horticulture University in West Godavari district on August 31, Nannaya University in Rajamahendravaram on September 14, Krishna University and Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) on September 30 and Acharya Nagarjuna University and Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University on October 12.

Addressing the meeting, the CM instructed the officials to conduct competitions for students and select a few to take part in an interaction with him. He further instructed the vice-chancellors to conduct workshops on government initiatives and projects like Polavaram, Amaravati construction, ISRO Pragathi, IT-IoT, start-ups etc.

“Vice-chancellors should take proactive role in moulding the universities into role model institutions and make the State a knowledge hub. New teaching methods should be introduced and more focus should be given to practical learning,” said the CM in the meeting.
