An Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) Y. Satish, incharge of Railway Control Room, Vijayawada, was transferred to Secunderabad division, for allegedly misbehaving with a woman employee.
According to the South Central Railway (SCR) officials, Mr. Satish, came to the control room in the midnight and allegedly behaved in an objectionable manner with a woman, a couple of days ago.
“We conducted a departmental inquiry and transferred the AOM to Secunderabad,” said Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager R. Dhananjayulu.
Meanwhile, Mr. Satish, who boarded the sMachilipatnam-Visakhapatnam train on Tuesday night, allegedly misbehaved with a woman passenger in S1 coach. He also had a discussion with Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) M. Krishna Sagar.
Following a complaint lodged by the passenger, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel took the AOM into custody at Rajamahendravaram. The Government Railway Police (GRP) will book the officer for misbehaving with the woman passenger, the railway authorities said.
“Mr. Satish was transferred, but he has not reported at Secunderabad. He reportedly travelled in Machilipatnam-Visakhapatnam train on February 20 night on the name of inspection,” an officer said.
