Chief Manager of LIC C.R. Rajendran has asked the women to take active part in socio-cultural activities apart from their routine job or work at home. Speaking at Women’s Day function of LIC women employees at Main Branch of LIC at Innispeta here on Monday,
Mr. Rajendran recalled Swami Vivekananda’s teaching that social service or charity should start from one’s home and should spread to society afterwards.
Organising secretary of the LIC women’s wing G. Kanakadurga, LIC Agents’ Association president P.V.S. Krishna Rao and others spoke on the occasion. The women’s wing presented Rs. 20,000 worth furniture, rice and fruits to ‘Paluku’ a school for differently-abled children in Dowleswaram.
