Rajahmundry: “If you want to build new capital for Andhra Pradesh, you can do so either on government land or forest land, nobody will object. Nobody bothers which country’s technology you adopt. But, if you want to build a capital on farmlands, nobody, who have good head on one’s shoulder, would accept,” said YSR Congress Party president and Leader of Opposition Y S Jagnamohan Reddy here on Friday. This is the message he intended to send to AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Speaking to reporters here , Jagan lashed out at Naidu for grabbing the land from farmers and thus causing farmers anguish and despair. Jagan said the government can build capital city on 3,000 acres of government readily available in Mangalagiri in Guntur district instead of snatching fertile lands on which the farmers grow three crops a year.
