While the cottage industries and agriculture have been totally exempted from power tariff hikes, the domestic consumer has to pay more (5 % hike) over and above 200 units.
The APERC Chairman Bhavani Prasad announced the tariff hikes which also exempted some categories of LT-3 consumers such as poultry and sugar industries.
The APERC also directed that the state government would pay Rs.3186 crore to the discoms towards all subsidies – agriculture, industrial cross subsidy.
