‘Crorepati’ transport official trapped

Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau raided the office and residence of Deputy Transport Commissioner of East Godavari A. Mohan in the early hours of Thursday and recovered 2 kg gold and 5.5 kg silver worth over Rs. 2 crore, Rs. 83,000 cash, and property documents worth over Rs. 50 crore. The documents pertain to luxury flats, plots, agriculture lands, and benami companies in the names of his daughter and son-in-law.
A special team led by S. Ramadevi, DSP, ACB, came from Hyderabad and raided the house of Mr. Mohan at Gaigolapadu on the outskirts of Kakinada.
DSP P. Ramachandra Rao and his team from Rajamahendravaram joined Ms. Ramadevi in recovering the documents and questioning the accused and his family members.
Special search teams had been sent to Kadapa, Kurnool, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and other places where his relatives stay.
