Rs 47 cr sanctioned for Temples in the city

The government has sanctioned `47 crore for the endowments department to build compound walls, carry out repairs, take up painting works and provide basic amenities at temples Pushkarams. All the works will be completed by June.
Disclosing this to Express here Sunday night, minister for endowments Pydikondala Manikyala Rao said replicas of ancient and important temples would be set up in the city. The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) will perform ‘poojas’ including the ‘Suprabhata Seva’ and ‘Ekantha Seva’ at its replica. Steps will be taken to construct the Mrukandeswara temple after discussing the issue with the officials.
The managements of Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy temple at Annavaram and Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Dwaraka Tirumala are spending `40 crore for Pushkaram-related works. The officials are told to ensure hassle-free ‘darshan’ at all temples.
