Greater Rajahmundry soon

          Andhra Pradesh budget has given josh to Rajahmundry on the eve of pushkarams. Governemt specially allotted Rs.200cr in the budget. More over over Rs.1360 cr amount from other sectors also has been allotted for pushkarams in both districts. This amount is second highest after money allotted for new capital establishment.

        Government is planning to develop junctions, roads, parks and drainages in the city. The arrangements already started for developing riverbund like Tankbund in Hyderabad.
“Greater Rajahmundry” will be formed by adding 22 Gram panchayats with in few months.
Since the ‘greater’ status is given only if the population of a town exceeds 4 lakh, the the merger was proposed. The existing population of MCR is 3,15,057, and with the merger of 22 villages, it would increase to  4,19,818.
As far as Rajahmundry is concerned, budget has given satisfactory to all sections.
