Rajamahendravaram: Director general of police Gautam Sawang termed the boat capsize incident “unfortunate” and said the boat was at a depth of 315 feet under water.
Speaking to reporters at the government hospital here on Tuesday, Sawang said it would take some time to pull it out of water owing to high current of river water and the depth.. The government is making all efforts to bring the capsized boat to the shore using latest technology and the police were also doing their best in this regard, he added.
The DGP said the government was providing medical aid to the victims in government hospital. Earlier, the DGP conducted an aerial survey at the incident spot and later came to government hospital and called on the victims and enquired about their condition.
