An astute politician, clever organizer, and intellectually well-equipped Kandula Durgesh has been appointed the YSRCP official spokesperson. A powerful orator, consummate debater and someone adept in both politics and law, Durgesh is known for his political acumen.
Durgesh had earlier worked as the president of the East Godavari District Congress Committee and was known to be very close to Rahul Gandhi. In fact, he was part of Rahul’s inner core and won accolades for his handling of the things. In the last general elections, he fought and lost to TDP’s Muralimohan for Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat. Later, he joined the YSRCP and has been working closely with YS Jagan.
Despite his preoccupation with the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan is also allocating time to building the party and preparing it for the 2019 elections. He is holding meetings with the leaders at various levels and is working out strategies.
