IndiGo enhances domestic connectivity with 6 additional flights

Underscoring the tourism potential of the Tier II markets, IndiGo, India’s largest and fastest growing carrier, on Friday announced 6 additional flights on its network. According to a statement, effective March 12, IndiGo will commence new flights between Ahmedabad, Kochi and Hyderabad. New schedule will also see enhanced connectivity on Ahmedabad Kochi Ahmedabad, Kochi Hyderabad – Kochi and Hyderabad Ahmedabad – Hyderabad sectors. Commencing on March 12, these new services will further consolidate IndiGo’s position as the fastest growing airline in India, with over 1,000 daily flights connecting 48 destinations. IndiGo had recently announced its ATR operations and inaugural flights from Tirupati and Rajahmundry. In March 2018, the carrier will also commence Vijayawada operations to Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. The new schedule resonates with the airline’s expansion plan, and the month-on-month growth the carrier has seen in the domestic skies.Speaking on the new additional flights, Sanjay Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo said, “We are delighted to introduce new connections between Kochi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
