Andhra Pradesh: Contract lecturers meet Nara Lokesh

Rajahmundry: A delegation of university teachers working on contract basis from 14 universities in the state met minister for IT and panchayat raj Nara Lokesh and sought job security and proper pay at Amaravati on Saturday. AP Universities’ Contract Teachers’ Association state president Dr Arjunudu and others led by Palacole MLA Nimmala Ramanayudu and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao met the IT minister and submitted a representation seeking job security to their services and also for implementation of time scale with proper wages. 

They informed the minister that they were having no objection even to undergo screening test but wanted job security for sure. They claimed that though they were working in the universities with fewer wage for several years, they were discharging their duties on par with regular teachers in the universities and reiterated their demand to ensure protection to their services. The minister assured them to take up their issue to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to provide them justice.
