RTC Regional Manager Chinta Ravikumar said that the plans to run 490 special bus services for pilgrims traveling to Pancharas and Srisailam pilgrims in Sabarimala in November. At a press conference held at his office on Friday, the price brochure was announced for special services. Super luxury buses were set up in Sabarimala for 4 days and 5 days pilgrimage package on November 23 and 29. The 4-day package includes Vijayawada, Tada Bypass, Teenage and Sabarimala, priced at Rs. 3500. The 5-day pilgrimage tour will be Kaniipakam, Erumeli, Sabarimala, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Rajamahandravaaram and the price of Rs 3800. Last year, 22 buses cost Rs 29 lakh in revenue and this year 60 buses would run.
RM said that in the six months time, the eastern region earned Rs.9.83 crores in the RTC. It is the first to get this income in the history of the region. Last year, 610 special buses were able to get revenue of Rs 1.18 crore, and this year we have achieved 925 buses.
