Ali To Test His Political Fortunes With JSP?

Senior Tollywood comedian Ali appears to be getting ready to make his entry into politics with Jana Sena Party floated by power star Pawan Kalyan.

It was evident from the way Ali was moving so actively at the inauguration of Jana Sena Party office at Prashasan Nagar in Jubilee Hills on Tuesday.

All through the event, Ali was with Pawan and even presented him a copy of the Telugu version of Holy Quran. He took part in the prayers by Muslim religious groups to bless Pawan Kalyan in his political endeavours.

In fact, Ali had been closely associated with Pawan right from the beginning of the latter’s career in films.

He acted in almost all the films that Pawan had acted in. Even when Pawan launched Jana Sena Party before 2014 elections, Ali moved with him but he never expressed his political intentions, though he has been nurturing the ambition of entering politics for quite some time.

In 2014, Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu tried to rope Ali into the party and there were reports that he had almost agreed for the same.

He was tipped for contesting from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat as senior actor M Murali Mohan was not interested to contest the elections.

However, sources said Ali expressed his desire to contest from Guntur (East) for the Assembly as this constituency has a majority of Muslim voters.

But somehow, it did not materialise due to other compulsions and Ali dropped his plan to join the TDP. He told the TDP leadership that he would concentrate on his film career.

With Ali rejecting the Rajahmundry seat, Muralimohan had no option but to contest from Rajahmundry and he won the seat very comfortably.

Now that Ali might join the JSP sooner or later, he might fulfil his ambition of contesting the assembly elections from Guntur.
