Vaaradhi Foundation has invited applications for its annual essay writing and elocution competitions from students of X and Intermediate in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Foundation Chairman and former Chief Secretary Mohan Kanda said that regional competitions would be organised in various areas and final competition would be held at Ravindra Bharathi here on October 8.
The regional level competitions would be held in Adilabad, Warangal, Kurnool, Nellore, vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam on August 27.
They would be held at Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Hyderabad and Secunderabad on September 3.
The essay writing competition will be about unity and diversity of India and greatness of its people who live in harmony.
The election competition would be on ‘Fast spreading social media – Ethical values, impact and responsibility’.
Mr.Mohan Kanda said that a workshop would be organised in Hyderabad on October 8 and Kanda Bhimashankara Rao and Papayamma Memorial awards would also be presented on the day.
The first prize would carry a cash award of Rs. 30,000, second prize Rs. 20,000, momento and citation.
