ONGC, Rajahmundry Asset, undertook a walkathon as part of ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’, from its dispensary in Prakash Nagar to Base Complex on Tuesday. The walk was flagged off by Executive Director and Asset Manager D.M.R. Sekhar.
Mr. Sekhar said ONGC was observing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ (sanitation fortnight) throughout the country. Besides creating awareness on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the company was undertaking construction of community toilets in its operational areas and was working towards achieving the goal of Open Defecation Free nation.
He said Rajahmundry Asset was going to undertake Swachh Godavari initiative on July 28 under the aegis of East Godavari district authorities and that the arrangements were on full swing.
