Chandrababu’s nemesis, Alla and Vundavalli keep the pressure on

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu often finds himself under immense pressure, all thanks to the two the opposition leaders of the State assembly.

Yuvajana Sramik Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) MLA of Mangalagiri Constituency Alla Ramakrishna Reddy and ex-MP of Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar have haunted CM Naidu over one issue or another.

Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has filed some 35 legal cases against the government of AP since Chandrababu became the CM. Most of the cases were filed on behalf of the farmers from whom the government forcefully collected land for the building of the new capital city.

He filed cases on behalf of farmers who were reluctant to give their lands. Alla was able to get stay orders from High Court and Supreme Court against the implementation of government decisions.

Another major legal battle between Alla and Naidu was the Sadavarti Satram lands near Chennai. The TDP government sold hundreds of crores worth la cheaply to Naidu’s supporter which was challenged in the High Court by Alla. The High Court verdict came in favour of Alla and the government had to forego the lands.

Similarly, Vundavalli Arun Kumar with open criticism of TDP and has been at loggerheads with Naidu over several issues. He specifically targeted Naidu over the corruption in the construction of Polavaram, Pattiseema and Purushottamapatnam irrigation projects.

He also had exposed the scam during the construction of secretariat in Velagapudi and how cheap material was used in the construction of Assembly.

Vundavalli has the gift of the gab and often has put it to good use in exposing the government.
